Grandpa's Baptism (25th Dec '09)
Fairfield Methodist Church
Grandpa waiting for baptism to start.
As the names are called, all the baptism candidate start to proceed to the alter.
Grandpa will be baptised by sprinkling. There has been quite a lot of debate online as to the validity of baptism by other methods other than full immersion in water.
After baptism, candidates are awarded with a baptism cert as well as a church membership cert. The church membership is pretty pointless in my opinion. Why would a person need a cert for church membership!? That is so secular.
Grandpa showing uncle his certificate.
Really happy for grandpa.
Reminds me of something I heard b4:
If God has not answered your prayer,
it doesn't necessaraily mean "NO"
but it may mean "NOT yet".
Well, this has been a long time prayer for many in our family.
We are all very happy and this Christmas has special significance in our hearts.
What a great way to end the year.
To GOD be all glory and all praise.
Amen.
