M'sia visit 25-27 Jul '07
25th - SIN -> Penang (SQ 192)
The day started out .... not so fine from Singapore to Penang. Maybe it was the early hr flight & not being a mornin person.... I sit on the wrong seat. The lady who was supposed to sit there didn't even bother to tell me and sat beside me instead. Another lady came and asked why the lady was in her seat. She rudely replied her:"He seating in my seat mah."(pointing at me). Can you believe the Singaporean attitude? I was embaressed and appologised before moving to my correct seat. (But I really felt like slapping the woman. Fortunately for her, my dad brought me up to be a gentleman.)
Visited my Penang agent and went around to see their daily operation and visited 2 customers. I shall refrain from talking about work & details in my blog....
25th - Penang -> KL (Aeroline Coach)
I was on my way to KL from Penang by coach. The trip was fine and I watched DVD and played a little PSP (damnit! How can forget bring PSP charger.... Crap HP charger also forget....). About 45 mins before the coach reached our destination, the coach I was taking got hit from the back. And to top it off, there were 2 knocks.... Just for good measure to make sure the bus breaks down. By the time I got off the bus to see whats happening (had to pray a bit & am a little wussy @ the thought that I might see bloody bodies), I found 2 cars piled up behind my coach and that the belt from the rear end of coach broken. (No blood or bodies. Thank God.)
Thats it. This coach ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Went back onto the coach and relax while the others were all outside (I really dun understand why they all wanted to be there. Nothing to see leh.).
Slack untill the assistant came to tell me that another bus will be here to pick us up soon. However (there! I new there was gonna be a catch somewhere), the replacement bus will not drop us at the appionted destination. Bloody toot! #$%^&^@# !!! So how I gonna meet my agent (who was waiting for me at the bus terminal).
Took a cab which the bus company was supposed to pay when I report the claim the next day (which I did not go due to time constraint.... 35 ringget leh). Meet up with agent and went for coffee (can't believe that a coffee session could last till 2 a.m).
Went back to the hotel.... I have no idea how many stars but it had:
- No iron & you have to BUY if you want... Ringget 160 (inclusive ironing board)
- No tooth brush & tooth paste !
- No shampoo ! (Only soap dispenser)
I K.O after shower. (Cannot find water heater switch. So I on every damn switch I can find. Then hot water came.)
26th - KL
The day was ok, followed my agent around & observe how he handled customers and suppliers. Again, I shall refrain from going into details. Retired to the hotel earlier than the night before. (didn't sleep early cos I was watching TV....)
27th - KL (KL -> SIN on board MH 0605)
Had a good breakfast. (actually every meal was good .... and at a price not comparable to Singapore) Was on the way back to office when I commented that my agent should change his car. He told me that since he is developing a new area, profit was not great and he should wait till it improves before talking about luxury items like new cars. I told him that it was because I find M'sia to be a big area and if the car gave any problem.... It gonna take a while before help arrives. He say:"Won't lah, still ok.". When we stop over at a supplier's shop.... I saw smoke oozing from under the hood.... Spot on man !!! He topped up the coolant (it was leaking) and we hurried to the reapir shop near the office.
He attempted to open the radiator cap. I felt a little pussy as I took a step back but felt so much better when the radiator sprouted water like a fountain....(my agent kana left, right, center.... actually everywhere lah....) Ha ha ha.... (no I don't mean to be rude & i'm not laughing at him but at the situation.) I shut up after that and watch what I said whenever I open my mouth. (sua enuff liao & still have to take flight back leh....)
Ok lah. Stop here. Will continue if I get back to Singapore safely. (keep me in prayers)
