Spanking new DVD recorder

Old dvd player was a gift that had served it

purpose well for the last 2 yrs that we were using it.

It's not spoilt or anything,I just felt it

was time for an upgrade.

Reason for upgrade:

1) Its a DVD recorder!

2) It plays VCD as well (no idea why the prev set can't....).

3) Its on sale @ $159 !!!

Bonus - It could be connected to our 5.1 sound sys for regular TV CHs.

Tested the set on a Sun night to rec. Harper's Island & Blade TV series.

Quality ain't fantastic on std setting.

But ok for me as I watch it on the com.
