ITS ALIVE !!!

After months of agonising pain of living without the use of my desktop. It has FINALLY been fixed.

Just out of curiousity, I went & asked the computer shop in Tampines1 if they did repairs. Yes, they do!

Took me a while to find a night where I was not so busy to bring it down for repairs. 2 problems my desktop was facing:
1) CPU fan error - remedy: BIOS setting not done properly.
2) USB konk out randomly - remedy: Use PCI to USB interface card to add 4 USB ports. The existing ones are gone & since I lost my receipt, I cannot bring back to shop that I bought the motherboard to get it covered under warrenty.

The charges for diagnostics + the PCI to USB card was 40+. Well worth it. Now my desktop is up & running again!

Yes! No more working on CS4 using a netbook. Whoo Hoo!!

Now to test out the new card reader that I bought. The old 1 took forever to transfer the photos from my camera to the netbook. Butt then again, it maybe the netbook couldn't take load of my files. (I shoot @ 21mp RAW + 10mp JPEG, so per shot is at least 31mp)

Finally can have a decent platform to do my photo editing.
